I have to say, there is a bitter piece of me that wants to stop this whole fiasco and find a dog at the shelter who needs us more but we love Big Carl so we keep on dealing.
So after we finally got documentation about his neuter (we will see what my vet has to say about that tomorrow) we signed the paperwork but could not find an mailing address. I looked over the 30 some odd emails that have been sent back and forth and did not see one. I also checked the contract and their website but came up empty handed so I emailed them back after they had yet again emailed me about the money. In response to my email asking for an address I got a reply in ALL CAPS yelling at me about not being able to find the address even though they had sent it a while ago and how they cant do anything else until they get their money.
Right now I am just livid. I mean I fostered this dog and didn't complain that they didn't pay for his food and care like is written in their foster agreement. At the time it was not a big deal because we did plan to adopt him but now its just another one of those little things that is eating away at me. There is a part of me that would not be in the least bit surprised if they tried to take him away after the fee was paid for some breach on contract. I will never adopt from them again and I am telling people to stay away from them.

What a yucky situation! If they are so money hungry, I don't think they would try to come back for BC...sounds like they just want the dough.
It's a good thing BC found you...sounds like that group isn't very professional!
If he lives in your house and has been vetted in your name I would not worry about them trying to take him back.
I work with a lot of really great rescue groups, but what I find is they get snowed uder a lot and it's hard to get a straight answer about things like this.
I'm kind of in the same situation with LuLu but since we are fostering 3 of her siblings and are paying for all her vetting they waived adoption fee.
Sometimes you have to put your foot down.
And as long as you are caring for Big Carl and giving him an obviously fantastic home no one is going to take him from you.
They seriously have much bigger things to worry about.
Sure they are giving you a hard time!
I hope everything goes well!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Oh no! Two legged hooman's can be very bitter and nasty at times (sad face). That's why I am soooo happy I am afour legged hooman (despite what everyone tells me). Stand your ground... be tough and remember.... Big Carl LOVES YOU UNCONDITIONALLY and is VERY THANKFUL for YOU and the other Hooman;s that have Rescued us (once throw away poopers). WE love you!
Hugs & smoochies xoxo

good luck to you
i hope things get better real soon
What a mess - sorry this has to be so hard. We will cross our paws that you can get it all figured out.

I'm so sorry they are giving you such a hard time when all you're trying to do is give Big Carl a loving home...it shouldn't be hard!
Holy crap that sounds annoying! Hang in there!
That's so awful about how they're treating you and writing you such rude responses. No one should be treated that way, even if they had given you the address 10 times already (which of course is not the case)--there's no call for that kind of treatment. I hope that it will be over for you soon and you can wash your hands of that organization.
But it looks like the dogs are all getting along better, based on the photo. Chin up!
We are sorry that you are having such a hard time!! Hopefully, you'll have everything worked out soon!
Woofs and Kisses!
This sucks. But Big Carl needs you now more than ever! I cant imagine him going back tothem and getting the love he has with you.
keep us posted. things will eventually be better.
This is so frustrating!!!
Hoping all ends well for you and BC!!!

This will get better, even though they sound like awful people. Hang in there. Big Carl is so lucky to have you - sometimes people and animals are brought together for a reason. Stand your ground and on to BC for dear life. He needs you now more than ever. C'mon, you're tough- you're a pibble mom! And we're all here for you!
What a PITA!
Best of lukhk with this unnecessary drama!

He's lucky you got him out of there!
Ugh, the nerve of some people! We hope that everything works out soon.

This isn't how rescue and foster and adoption is supposed to go. We are sad and sorry for you. We hope it comes to a happy end, and we'll be keeping our paws crossed.

What a revoltin' developement this is. Just pretend they didn't yell at you and be nice back to them (even if you'd like to brain them!) Once you legally have Big Carl you can write a letter of complaint to the head of the adoption place.
Welcome back from AK BTW!

EEESH! Paperwork mess up. You must be very grouchy for sure. I hope that you can work things out and it is good to get the word out that maybe they don't have their act together.
Lots of rescue organizations mean well, but loving dogs does not an administrator make.
Just hoping that everything works out for Big Carl in the end.
Slobbers,

that's awful! that makes me very upset to hear all of that. :(
We are so sorry that you have to go through this, but are so happy that you realize that the welfare of Big Carl is worht it!
You guys ROCK!!

Sorry to hear about the frustration with the adoption groups. Maybe you can contact the vet they use - if the vet is close, you might need to take Big Carl back there to get him neutered so they will charge the rescue group for it. Sadly I have heard of animals being taken to the vet, and the vet says they neutered or spayed them, and later it was found out they didn't. Unfortunately with as many animals as they see, it's just a mistake that can happen occasionally. Hang in there, and hopefully it'll all work itself out soon!
Oh that sounds like no fun at all! Good thing Big Carl is such a sweet doggy huh? We hope your troubles get worked out soon.
Waggles,

What a simply awful situation. I so hope that this gets sorted realy soon for you and in your favour. They are so not good people.. Hugs GJ x
hi there thanks for following!
big carl's awesome and i think he's very lucky to have you. it's great you're keeping him! i'm sure he wants to stay with you forever.
really sucks about the rescue group he came from.. i wonder why they are being so weird? i always thought all rescuers came from that same compassionate place that just wants to help animals.
and yeah its sooooo obvious when a male dog hasn't been fixed... lying about it is ridiculous!!! paperwork or whatever, there's really no hiding testicles!! geez..
I know it is frustrating but I agree with what some others said....It is for Big Carl. You know it will be worth it in the end. He is definitely worth it! ;o) Thanks for rescuing!
Snuggles,
Twix
I've dealt with a few unpleasant adoption groups. Always best avoided, and I'm sorry you find yourself in the middle of this...
Hmmm, just not good. At least Big Carl is worth the drama! He's adorable. Sorry you're going through this angst. Stinks.
Reminds me of fostering a wonderful dog with a reputable agency a while ago-- they insisted he was neutered, until I sent them 10 pics (all angles) of his testicles. Hard to deny the pornographic evidence, huh? After the "oops" about his "aggressive tendencies" (turned out he was a "biter," and they "forgot" to tell me he munched his last foster parent) and his odd paperwork (shots? he really had his shots? hmmm...), I vowed to never work with this group again. The dog found a wonderful forever home DESPITE this agency.
btw, I adopted my own dog from a small, hands on, wonderful foster group (Walkin' the Bark Rescue, http://fosterdogblog.blogspot.com/). Too bad the questionable agencies leave a bad taste in our mouths. Thank dawg for those wonderful foster agencies that exist!
Sigh...Big Carl, though...what a heartbreaker!
We hope that all turns out well in the end. It is sad when things go sour like this. The Corgi Country Crew
