I'm trying to be good and stay away from my computer during this vacation but with my foot its hard to get out and about. More so since we are up in AK and it is a whopping 12 degrees and the place is blanketed in snow and ice which is not ideal for crutches. I am a bit homesick being up here but I am missing the pups! Our dogsitter Alex has been sending us updates and lots of pics of the pups so we are able to see how they are all getting along. Right now they are playing musical bones with the nylabones!
But it has also been an entertaining trip as we have a house up here that we rent out and recently got new tennats. Here is a move out issue we had:
Former renters told new renters they had given their dogs a moose carcass to chew on in the backyard but it had been buried under the snow. They wanted to remove it after the snow melted. New renters aren't from Alaska and made them dig up the frozen moose that day :)

Moose carcass? I'm not sure what I would do with that. And I must say, Mom and Dad woulda probably made them dig it up too. I guess us midwest folks are just weird that way!

Oh man, oh man. That moose carcass would have been at least a years worth of rawhide chews!! Ahhh life in Alaska. You are a lucky hooman to be there. Sorry about the crutches though...should have brought your trusty pooches to pull you in a sled.Ahahaha.
Smooches,
BabyRD and Hootie
ps-From the news, all you're missing in LA is floods, mudslides and high winds.
You need to take it easy so you will be like new in no time!
Glad the pups are doing well!
Take care
Kisses and hugs

Hope your foot gets better soon. Better ease off pressure on it. Moose carcass? Hmm...
What?! They don't sell Nylabones in Alaska? :)
We hope you foot feels better soon!
Toby's Raiser
P.S Toby forgot to mention which category he entered!
For the Mango Minster Toby has entered the "Hard Working" category.
Moose? Those things are HUGE! It would take a couple dogs forEVER to get through that... I would think.
Enjoy your holiday :)
Hang in there....Sounds like being Alaska landlords is ummm....interesitn...;-)
Moose carcass trumps nylabone. How long would it take the pooches to chew that?
Moose carcass. People- are crazy. I'm sure those poor dogs had all kinds of wonderful GI issues after that. oh well.
Glad that you get pics of the pups though! that's great!
