LA is a dirty city. Because we live in an area where there are lots of shops and restaurants there happens to be a lot of food on the ground. Not just bits and pieces but whole meals. Tonight there was an entire large order of fries someone had dropped. The crust from an extra large pizza. Too many bags of chips to count. Half a burger. Many other assorted snacks I can't even begin to figure out. OOO I almost forgot to list my favorite. A 5 gallon drum of chocolate ice cream. Seriously. The top was off. What a waste!
Try as hard as I might to keep the girls away from all the food I spend most of my time looking out for cars since no drivers here think about pedestrians so they are able to sneak some. I almost get hit at least one time each time I venture out. It doesn't matter how careful I am there are more crazy drivers here than you make think possible. I actually almost threw a bag of poo at someone to get their attention tonight because we were crossing during our right of way and they were only watching traffic from the other direction since they needed to make a right hand turn. Luckily they looked up just as their wheels started to role so I didn't have to fling poo to make them look up.
Here is a pic I took of the dogs last Christmas in front of the tree. Can you tell they weren't excited?

Grrr. We hate those crazy drivers too. Watch out!
It is amazing what people toss out their windows. We have seen lots of whole meals too.

Sounds scary! I get so nervous crossing roads with Marge and I usually try to avoid main roads. Could you walk early in the morning or something, maybe when less people will be out?
I've seen some strange discarded foodstuffs around here, too. The best was when Marge dug in to a great big rotting pile of baked ziti. With ants on top. UGH!
Sam- there is no slow time where I live. The crazies are always out. Streets aren't the worst, its actually driveways and parking lots that suck
Hooooomans are WAY stooooooopid!
As fur last year's pikh, OH YES! That is excitement in the fur!

Woof! Hi There ... I'm Sugar.
Just checking in if you received my ecard as part of the DWB Exchange Holiday Card ... if not it is posted on my blog. Looking forward to be blog friends.
Just want to wish you and your family Happy Holidays. I just posted my last post for the year ... we are going on a holiday break. Lots of Golden Holiday Woofs, Sugar
I can't imagine walking in WeHo with just me, I give you so much credit for the patience you have...I think you have done pretty good so far if you haven't had to toss poo at anyone! I could do that here and we live in the suburbs!!
Sounds weird, but in TN it ALWAYS seems to be chicken wings somewhere on the ground! hahaha
I'm always afraid of the food on the ground because sometimes people put poison in it to get the rats and pigeons; although, it sounds more like people are just being careless with their food. What a crazy walk!
