I would have to say that Baily and Mesa sleep in bed about 40% of the time. With the DH up north, its more like 100% of the time. So we have had to learn how to navigate sharing a king sized bed with two 50lb dogs.
First Baily. One of her nicknames is Snuggle-up-against (like Snuffalufagus). Baily wants as much of her touching/covering you as possible. Her head will be on your chest or on the pillow pressed up against your head. She will sleep like that all night long. The first time she does this it is cute, eventually it gets rather annoying because when you move at night she repositions herself for maximum contact.
Next Mesa. Unless it is unbearably hot, Mesa will not lay down unless she is under the blankets. She nicely curls herself into a ball at the foot of the bed but in the middle of the night (most nights this happens a couple times) she overheats and starts thrashing around until she rids herself of the blankets. 10 minutes later, once she has cooled down, she starts the process all over again. Mesa also makes so much noise when she sleeps. She snores, she sighs, she woofs and makes some noises I can't even begin to describe.
This said, I still enjoy sleeping with the munchkins, most nights. I have also found that letting them sleep in bed means I get to sleep in :)

Oh boy, what will happen when your Dad moves to Weho? I guess you'll have to make room for him. Sierra is like Bailey and loves to cuddle and be next to Mommy or Daddy. I like to be close to Mommy just while we're saying good night and then I jump down to my tile.
Love,
Teddy Bear
What a precious picture - and that's an AWESOME nickname :)
Here, it is all of the art of who gets on the bed. if it is Natasha, no other dog dares get on HER bed (and she "let's" us share the King Size bed). But if she choses to sleep elsewhere - which happens a lot - Qannik and Rusty claim the bed. And they both can spread out amazingly.
Kodiak sleeps in his chair and Kiska and Cheoah sleep in crates (because of certain other issues).
I love the doggy-dreams. When they make the noises and twitching I always envision them having some fantastic dream of running free in the fields.
My mom is furry jealous of woo!
I like to head up to bed and nest it up furry nicely!
Shortly after she gets in, I'll let her rub my tummy fur a while then DOWN to my spot(s) on the floor I go -

Khyra
PeeEssWoo: The silly thing is sometimes during the day I'll sprawl out on it to nap!
Spuds is a maximun contact sleeper too, but I still love sleeping with Spuds and shadow, even though they also wake me up a couple times night- snoring/moving/making me feel claustrophobic :)
Bilbo also has to be in contact at ALL times...Luckily he is a 7 pound Lhasa...
