I'm thankful for the kindness of friends

So on this Ohio State- Michigan saturday I am in the office working a 12 hour shift that will be followed by a 48 hour cross country trip and capped off by another 12 hour shift on Tuesday. I will then get a much needed long weekend.

I am so thankful for my friends who will be taking care of the girls for me when I am away. I have to fly out to Kentucky for my Grandfather's funeral. We prefer to have house sitters and with the craziness of this move and knowing that we don't have any travel plans till Christmas we had just barely started to look when this trip came up unexpectedly. A friend who I have know for over 10 years happens to live one block over from me and offered to come stay with the girls while I am gone. She has always had dogs and my two simply adore her so it should be a great match and let my mind ease a bit while I am gone.

Now to just get through this 12 hour day!

On a lighter note, here is a funny pic from last night. I heard Baily whining, and since she is a whiny butt I didn't think much of it. After a couple minutes I went to see what was wrong and I found this:

Baily had walked under the table and not been able to figure out how to get out. She doesn't like to push things out of her way like Mesa would have so she settled for whining until someone came to her rescue.

Sorry to hear about your grandfather..whew I know how hard it is to find care for the dogs when you are away. We found a great place that is so far away, even further with our move, but worth it when you can feel that they will be safe!!

I am so glad that you will have someone nice to take care of you when your Mommy is away. That table thing is something I would do, so I understand.

licks and sniffs Sasha

My sympathy on your loss, I will say a prayer for you.

So sorry about your grandfather. I lost mine last year, it was tough. How nice that you have someone to stay with the girls while you're gone.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather. It's tough to lose that generation; with them go the stories and experiences. Memories are all we have.

By the way, this is something my brother's dog would do. And then he whines pathetically!

I am very sorry to hear about your grandfather.

That is hilarious that she got "stuck!" One of my dogs gets "stuck" at the top of the stairs every now and then FOR ABSOLUTELY NO GOOD REASON. There is nothing preventing her from going down the stairs... I dunno :)

Sorry to hear about your grandpa. I hope you girls are good for the sitter.

Mom says her family on both sides is originally from Kentucky.

I hope you and your family are doing well. It must be reassuring to know the pooches are well taken care of.

HAhaha, I love how their personalities come out in the most random situations.
