What a weekend!

We had some big breakthroughs  this weekend. Check it out:

Baily and Big Carl also go to have sleepovers with our friend and favorite puppy sitter Alex. After hanging with us for dinner, she decided she needed some puppy snuggles so we loaned out the snuggliest of our dogs. It was very interesting to see how Baily and Mesa reacted the night they were apart since they hate being separated. It was also good practice for them!

We didn't send Mesa over since she is not good at all when it comes to being an only dog. Her first owners had locked her in a crate and did not socialize her so when we got her she didn't know how to be a dog. Mesa latched onto Baily and now is very dependent on her and latches onto other dogs if Baily is not around.

Can't yet speak about the "big news" but I will say that we aren't having a baby. Come on, I know some of you were thinking that!

  1. lol- I was thinking it was going to be baby news ;)

We try to separate our dogs every now & then too. Kayloo is ok with it, but it bugs Mickey when the whole pack isn't together.

    Fascinating little critters :)

  2. I don't mind being separated from my idiot brother. I just hate the thought that he might be having fun without me. Now, if I had a nice black and white gal to cuddle with...

  3. My three older dogs would LOVE IT if Charlie (my Pittie) would have a sleepover anywhere. Anywhere at all. They're tired of her antics!

I just know you're moving, aren't you. You're moving somewhere where people don't run over your feet, not that I blame you! :)

  4. Our dogs are all so people oriented I really don't think they'd care too much if they were suddenly alone. On the one hand it's good because we have to split them up between friends when we go out of town and it's never been a problem to do that, but on the other hand we don't get many of those super cute pics that you guys do because they don't snuggle with each other very often :)

  5. Wow, that's awesome progress!! I'm so glad they're doing well together. What a good idea to let Mesa be the "only child" for a while. Thank goodness for friends who need a puppy fix!

  10. So if you aren't having "a" baby, are you having more than one? Ha Ha.

That's a great idea to split the pups up for sleepovers, something for Mom to think about.

  11. So cute!
I know Greighson would LOVE to be the only child. Anywhere as long as he's the only one and can be the center of attention.
Haleigh would be very sad though because she is very co-dependent on him.
And the wee ones wouldn't know any better yet.

So when do you announce the big news??

  18. That's about right... the smallest taking up the most bed space! That is so sweet, them all snuggling together! Very seldom do ours sleep touching one another.

Since we have so many now, we usually divide them up for trips into town on Sundays and take turns with who gets to go. Linda from CC
