Working from home

So last week I got to work from home. Last week as in the week of 6.21. I wanted to post more while I was home but I was super busy with work. This week I had to much to catch up on that I was asked to stay an extra day and now get only 1.5 days at home for the weekend. Boo

So anyways, I stayed home because the hubs and I had our second wedding anniversary :) We ended up taking a weekend trip to Vegas and had a great time.

Upon our return I worked from the sofa, or the deck depending on how the weather was. I tried to get the dogs excited for work but all I got was this:

because I was home and I work on the east coast I had a lot of early morning phone calls and the dogs are not morning creatures. I got a lot of evil glares when I pulled myself out of bed at 430am.

In other news, the hubs wants to start baking and selling our own dog treats since we have such a diverse tasting crew. I am all for it, as long as he does the work :)

  3. Maybe you should work here because stupid PeeWee gets us all up at 4:30 just about every day. Sheesh. I bet they were dreaming about you and soaking up your at home vibes.

  4. Happy anniversary! So glad you got to get away together.

I think the doggie treats might be a good idea. You do have the best crew for taste testing. Plus, I know five dogs in my house who would be willing to do some testing for you, too! ;0)

  7. I have about hit my limit of vacation time at work - it's use it or lose it time.
So I figured I would just take a few days off to just hang out with my kids.
And that is exactly what I got too.
They just lay around the house all day long. Sleep. Lift their heads up. Look around. Get some water. Make a potty. Sleep. Bark at the mailman. Sleep.
So much for quality Mommy Baby time.

  9. Yum! Fresh baked doggie cookies! Lets me know if you need another taste tester!

My dad works from home and we help him lots -mainly by staying quiet when we need to and then taking him for a walk around noon to helps him get some fresh air.

Happy Anniversary- that trail race was in it's first year. I kept looking for running events- very few. It was super fun and we'll do it again next year.

  23. I admire you for taking a job like that. I couldn't get up that early if I wanted to. I usually reject any job that starts before 9 am. My dogs reject anything that starts before noon. :-/

    Happy Anniversary!

  24. Aww- congrats on the aniversary!
I hate to ever see 4-5am. My least favorite hours of the day. Especially 5am. You're either up way too late and will never get rid of the nights adventures fast enough to function, or our up way too early and will never recover from lack of sleep.

I'm siding with the pups on this one.

  25. That's about the time Grammy goes to bed! She doesn't know how in the world you do what you do with the time changes and all. We think your crew is just ticked at you being gone so much! That's how we treat Grammy if she goes somewhere and then comes back a few days later. We kind of go crazy when she first comes home and then remember we're supposed to be mad at her.
