you know that sofa cushion

the one that Big Carl vomited cat poop all over? Well we took it apart so we can clean it and next thing we know we see this:

and I see a little SHIT, I mean Big Carl, with fuzz handing out of his mouth. Sigh. RIP beloved sofa. It was an awesome sofa. HUGE, like MANGO sized! The DH is 6'4 and was determined to have a sofa that he could sit on and not have his feet touch the floor. Had to put it through a window since it doesn't fit up stairs. When guests come over they like to sleep on it once we put twin sized sheets down (they are a bit tight since it is so big).

Big Carl better be very glad I am on the other side of the country this week.

  1. Oh, no! Little BC did all that damage? Yikes! Can you have a cushion custom made in its place? Sometimes it's worth it when you love a piece that much.

    Bad doggie...

  2. That is really too bad, but we agree with Pibble, we bet you could find a company to make you a new cushion and make that sofa good as new.

  14. Man that looks like it was FUN!! Wish I coulda helped. I bet the humans can get a better cushion anyway. How about a doggie bed type thing that is indestructible (Orvis?)--that would be a great cushion.

  16. Oooh, I feel your pain! I also agree with Pibble- you might be able to just get a piece of foam as a "stand in."

  22. How can something so small do all that damage? Big Carl is Big Trouble! That poor sofa didn't stand a chance.

  23. Whoops. That was not a cool move. A Mango sized cushion, huh. I could use one of those.

  25. That actually looks quite salvageable, honestly! It looks like it was mostly just the dacron wrap that got mangled. A reupholstery place can probably patch up any torn out foam with cotton fill. But if you do need to replace the foam, it's not that bad. I'm sure there are tons of foam places in LA, or you can go to www.foamorder.com. You can order exactly the size you need, with dacron wrap. You enter the measurements on the site and it will give you an exact price.

Sorry about Big Carl, though, the little goofball!!

  26. Oh my gosh!!! RIP big blue sofa! I hope you will be able to find a replacement soon! Love, Dino

  27. As my beloved poochie can attest. It was the fluffy exterior that did the naked cushion in. Quizz cannot let any stuffing go. All stuffies must be de-stuffed.

Thank goodness he hasn't figured out the pillows.

RIP couch. Quizz says 'Go Big Carl!'
